When Dave comes home for the summer, he expects only to help his exhausted mother care for his father after a devastating stroke. Instead, while cleaning out his father’s office, he discovers a hidden box of letters.
They belong to a secret circle of men who exchange detailed, true accounts of their forbidden relationships with their own mothers. As Dave reads one intimate confession after another, long-buried desires he thought he had outgrown begin to resurface.
What starts as curiosity slowly becomes something far more dangerous. Encouraged by the stories—and by his mother’s quiet loneliness—Dave finds himself crossing lines he never imagined possible. In the quiet of their home, with his father helpless nearby, the distance between mother and son begins to disappear.
