After picking Carter up from school, Emma drove him to the courthouse for his meeting with the judge. Afterward, on the drive home, she stopped at a boutique ice cream parlor and treated him to his favorite dessert, a hot fudge sundae. Both were elated by the successful outcome and celebrated with a well-earned treat. As she watched Carter savor each bite, Emma couldn’t help but think of her own son and how much joy it brought her to see him enjoy something so simple yet special. Once they finished, they hopped back into the car and headed home.
She had chosen a conservative skirt for the court appearance, but on the drive home, the hemline had shifted slightly above her knees. Catching Carter’s occasional glances, she smiled to herself, amused by his youthful awkwardness. It was a small, lighthearted moment after a tense day, reminding her of how quickly he was growing up.
Serena greeted them eagerly as they walked in. “So, how’d it go? Don’t keep me waiting.”
“It went great, Mom!” Carter beamed. “So well that Mrs. Wilson took me out for ice cream afterward.”
“Please, call me Emma, Carter,” she corrected with a warm smile. Leaning down, she pressed a light kiss to his forehead. “You handled yourself wonderfully in front of the judge today. You deserved a treat.”
Carter grinned, catching a hint of her fragrance. “You smell nice, Emma. Thanks for being there for me.”
“Carter!” Serena scolded, giving her son a pointed look. “That’s not appropriate.”
Emma giggled and playfully swatted Serena’s arm. “Relax! It’s just a compliment. Honestly, it’s flattering.”
“Even so, you need to be mindful of your manners, Carter,” Serena insisted. “Now, go take a shower while Emma and I talk.”
Once she was certain he was in his room, she turned to Emma. “So, I take it everything went smoothly? Are there any issues we should expect moving forward?”
“I was worried at first because Carter was so nervous in the formal court setting, but then he reached out and held my hand,” Emma recounted, giving Serena’s hand a reassuring squeeze before continuing. “Once he steadied himself, he calmly repeated your conversation with him, then spoke about his childhood. He described how you were always there for him, while his father was absent from every milestone. By the time he finished, the judge was visibly moved. He even warned Dave’s attorney against any further baseless actions, threatening to revise the judgment more in your favor if he persisted. It’s over, Serena. You won.”
Serena exhaled, her shoulders sagging with relief. “I can’t believe it. It’s finally over.”
Emma squeezed her hand again, smiling warmly. “You should be proud, Serena. Carter spoke from the heart, and the judge saw the truth for what it was. Dave’s attorney didn’t stand a chance. As a bonus, Briana mentioned that her fees would be waived, offering her services pro bono, because she truly enjoyed working with you and Carter.”
Tears welled in Serena’s eyes as she let out a shaky laugh. “I don’t know how to thank you, Emma. You’ve been by my side through all of this.”
Emma grinned, stating “That’s what best friends do. And I must say, you’re going to have your hands full when Carter starts dating. He’s going to be quite the catch. If I didn’t know better, I’d say he has a thing for me.”
“Him and every other horny teenager,” Serena chuckled. “You’re a hottie. I’m pretty sure you’ve been promoted from Den Mother to MILF in their eyes.”
They shared a lighthearted laugh and shifted the conversation to other topics before finally bidding farewell.
While the two hot women talked downstairs, Carter pumped his young fifteen-year-old, cock, reliving the visions of Emma’s legs and her perfume. Normally he jacked off to fantasies with his mother, but his prior Den Mother had flared up feelings he’d felt in the past for her. It wasn’t long before pools of cum puddled up on his stomach.
With the stress of the divorce behind her, Serena focused on spending more time with her mother, who had been admitted to hospice just a week earlier. However, life dealt her another blow when her mother passed away the following week.
As the estate was settled, Serena discovered that her sister, Jackie, had siphoned off a significant portion of their parents’ holdings under the pretense of covering executor expenses. Conflicted, she acknowledged Jackie’s efforts in handling the estate but couldn’t shake the feeling of betrayal. The sting was even sharper knowing that Jackie and her husband were already well-off and had no real need for the money. Though she chose not to escalate the matter, their relationship remained strained from that point on.
Six months later, Serena met Briana at the courthouse to finalize her divorce. As they approached the judge’s chambers, Serena noticed Sharon sitting uneasily in a chair outside, her noticeably pregnant belly a clear sign of the new chapter in her life. “Briana, I’ll meet you inside. I’d like to talk to Sharon first,” Serena stated.
“Sure, see you in a bit,” Briana replied.
With no lingering ill will about the end of her marriage, Serena approached Sharon and said, “Congratulations. Looks like you’re almost due.”
Sharon, looking sheepish and embarrassed to meet the woman whose husband she had been with, replied, “Several weeks away. I’m glad we have a chance to talk. I just wanted to clear the air that I never wanted to take Carter away from you. I told Dave I wanted to raise our child, but he didn’t think I would and didn’t want to pay for a nanny, so he devised that awful scheme. I’m truly sorry he went through with it, but I’m glad it turned out okay for you. I know you probably won’t believe me, but I swear, it’s the truth.”
Serena mulled over her words before responding, “Of course, I believe you. It’s exactly what he would do. I wish you the best, but I do implore you to contact the person on this card for a prenup. Tell her I sent you.” She handed Sharon one of Briana’s business cards, smiling knowingly.
Sharon took the card and said, “Thanks. I don’t think I’ll need it, but I’ll keep an open mind and call her.”
